MNFlag is a public records research project documenting how Minnesota communities and government bodies have responded to the state flag redesign.
The project brings together government actions, primary records, attributable statements, local reporting, and carefully labeled analytical context. The purpose is to make the evidence easier to find and inspect.
Why source transparency matters
Every important factual claim should be traceable to a government record, attributable statement, reporting source, or clearly identified dataset. Case pages keep those source types distinct and identify known gaps.
Independence
MNFlag documents this public phenomenon without advocating for either Minnesota flag. It is not affiliated with the State of Minnesota, the Legislature, any county or municipality, a political party, or a campaign.
Ongoing research
The current site reflects verified research through the date shown on the research status page. It is not a complete census of every action in every Minnesota jurisdiction. New verified research can be published from the canonical research database without rewriting the site.
