Current verified dataset
Counts come from the research database and describe records currently available through MNFlag. They are not totals for Minnesota as a whole.
Discovery continues
MNFlag continues to identify jurisdictions, search public records, review candidate materials, and verify qualifying actions. Additional verified cases will appear as research is completed. Unresolved search candidates remain internal and are not displayed as cases.
This launch does not depend on statewide discovery being complete.
Research limitations
- Government archives differ in historical coverage and search capability.
- Some meeting records are not indexed or are no longer available online.
- Some records require direct requests to a government body.
- A search that did not locate an action does not prove that no action occurred.
- Source links can change or become access-limited; source provenance is retained in the research record.
- Analytical data is labeled by its geographic level and is not evidence of cause.
Research documentation
Public-facing methods are described in the methodology. The current public dataset uses verified case research reviewed under MNFlag’s case verification standard. Its public projections are generated from the canonical research database.
